Education, Co- Generation and Homes from Medical Waste

Submitted by: stephenschappert

Bios Building Technologies

Brookfield, CT

I would develop an education service to educate the community and the world about the power of conservation, cogeneration and alternative energy. Free Energy audits will be provided for homes and commercial buildings to check viability to use co-generation of power. Conservation and Cogeneration can lower power usage by 85%, saving money and energy reducing our carbon foot print and reliance on fossil fuels. I would start with my town hall and public buildings, saving the schools on energy costs would allow them to increase the budget specifically dedicated to children.

This small step will expand globally as I create a social business enterprise our sales reps and customers will be the owners. I believe that doing the right thing is the priority of the organization, the end result of helping people, saving the planet and boosting the economy is exceptional profits that can fund other socially responsible projects, and generate tremendous publicity.

As the organization grows, manufacturing plants will be opened worldwide to provide low-cost, local building materials from recycled medical waste, plastic and metal. The technology is currently available and the new framing is one fourth the weight of steel and ten times stronger. The primary product lines would be affordable housing and medical properties.

$20,000 would be used to develop and promote educational programs through low to no cost PR that would initially promote conservation and co-generation of energy… I offer the concept to the world with faith and conviction that the right people will come forward.

Good idea, particularly the notion of reducing the enormous amounts of wasted energy through cogeneration. The generation of heat and power accounts for more than two-thirds of this nation's carbon emissions, and the efficiency of electricity generation has not increased since Dwight Eisenhower occupied the White House. By generating both heat and power and by capturing waste heat from industrial processes, we can reduce both energy costs and pollution. My company (Recycled Energy Development) and others seek to cut greenhouse-gas emissions profitably.

Steve great concept, alternative energy is needed now, reduction on fossil fuels has to start - money saved on energy and transferred back into ones budget to help other projects and education and can save people from being layed off, sounds intelligent, change and positive thinking go hand in hand and is the only way to improvement, without change issues will never be resolved. I give it 5 stars.

This is just the concept to start the awareness and then change the culture on sustainability, environmental concern and care. It has taken business and industry too long and shown thier overall lack of foresight to have steered the world in this direction. There is an infinite level of possibilities and opportunities in providing sustanable, green living concepts and havignthe future generations demand us being responsible now to provide them. Great place to start with this concept!!

Good Thoughts - "Remember thoughts create" to you and all those that support you in your endeavors. At this time in our world we can use all the help we can get. Are children are our future and for their sake if nothing else, we all need to be responsible to every positive change we can make. Sounds like a Winner!

Amazing! This needs to be included in our education system so from day one children are moving forward to continue this wave. It is the time to take action for our future.

This Green Effect idea has power in its breadth of education and the fundamental value it places on environmental action achieved through learning, understanding and care for our planet.

Steve Schappert has spent many years developing an idea that begins with his local community but spirals outward to include everyone on the globe. The idea is not limited to a small town project but will begin in a small town which will be the launching pad to create jobs, support local business, improve schools and municipal buildings, decrease pollution and environmental impact. In time, BIOS will be strong enough to provide the same services, skills and technology to everyone in the world, thereby making a global impact for sustainable living and leaving a smaller carbon footprint for the next 7 generations. Steve Schappert has taken the phrase" think locally, act globally" to a whole new level. I give this project a solid 5 stars for his dedication and vision to change the world for the better.

Good idea Steve! I especially like how your starting with municipal buildings and schools first. I used to work in education and know all too well the amount of money that COULD go to the children if only bills were cut! Good luck!

I do not live in the USA, my Motherland is Russia. But I sure: Steve's idea the power of conservation, cogeneration and alternative energy concern, which I very like and support will be fully understood and suppoted also by a lot of other Russians also.

I think it is a good one. What I wouldn't give for a warm house in the winter and a school that was warm for kids as well.
If you can do it for a affordable price and even give some energy back to the grid I think you got something here!

revision Grammatically correct.
